Background checking

So i am having 3years of dotnet experience and i want to pivot to python fullstack. If i lie on my resume about techstack saying I worked on python without actually working professionally and hope i do get the job, then in bgv checks will they be able to find about my techstack through my contacts as we need to provide them some from previous company ??
