Which domain provides better compensation and Long term career growth

As a B2B pm life is chill especially if you’re working on a cash cow product.

For early stage B2B pms lots of time is spent on understanding the market and integration with several different products. The metrics that B2B pm focuses on is almost similar to that of a business counterpart, like MRR, drop-off etc

B2C pm is a different ball game, lots of time is spent on user research, seeing what other apps are doing, throwing lots of things at wall and seeing what sticks.

The above statements are not comprehensive and role varies a lot depending on the org culture.

I’ve spent decent amount of time in both the roles, and would prefer B2C role for the kick you get out of the work.

Purely in terms of opportunity and money, B2B is better, lot more successful b2b companies in india, business region focus is mainly in usa, so healthy ebitda, lots of perks and good pay.

There is enough money to be made on either side. It is about what you are good at and what you enjoy doing.
If you are a B2B PM at a large tech firm in India, you should have conservative goals about leadership positions. The leadership ceiling is real because India doesn't have that many VP/SVP positions for product roles at such firms.
