B.Tech @ PwC: Is an MBA the only way to "high-salary" safety?
I’m 24, B.Tech grad, 1.5 YOE at PwC, consulting.
My real passion is the "build" path—I want to learn how to ship products, scale them, and own the lifecycle. Don't know coding directly, but really into growth, content, partnerships, vibe-code. However, I’m also pragmatic about needing a high-paying backup plan in case the product/startup route is slower than expected. For someone in my shoes, does an MBA actually matter for long-term "salary insurance," or is it better to just double down on tech/product management skills? I' dicey about the MBA as it'll be mostly funded by student loans. So, a 25 lakh loan. Also, if I do, i want to go into PM roles.
Would love to hear from folks who made the jump from Big 4 to Product without an MBA.
