Available options for stay in Bhartiya Centre of Information Technology

For someone who is going to be relocating to Bangalore and working from Bhartiya Centre of Information Technology, can someone please suggest the best options for staying?

1 BHK/PG/Serviced Apartments, which is the better option? I am okay living up to 6 km away from the office.

It would be helpful, if you can specify the budget estimates as well.

Also is Thanisansdra/Kannuru a happening place?

Actually I am looking to stay alone and not on a sharing basis. So I assume that would cost around 20k right, in case of PG's? Also any idea about the last part of my question, is Thanisandra/Kannuru a happening place? Cafe's, malls, theatres etc.
