At a Crossroad in My Career
Lately, I’ve been feeling stuck at a crossroad. Deep inside, I’ve always wanted to move into management roles — to lead, guide, and contribute on a bigger scale. But sometimes I hold myself back because I didn’t have 90+ marks in my 10th or 12th standard, and I let that thought weigh me down.
In my current job, I find myself barely getting through tasks because I don’t truly enjoy the work anymore. It feels like I’m just moving along without passion or fulfillment.
I know I want to take a different path, one that excites me and aligns with my strengths, but the “what ifs” and past academic scores keep making me question myself.
Does anyone else feel the same? How have you tackled such a situation?

Not sure how any of this adds up How has marks in school got to do with management?
Btw, why do you think the management will be right path for you?
I would suggest that you first lead, guide and enjoy that in the current role and then take the plunge

Bro, being a manager is overrated. If you are good in tech, you will be earning more than managers, much bigger impact in your work with only a fraction of tension and headache.

Don't want to be mean here just trying to understand you more. Are you good at what you do or just thinking that if you do the other thing you'll feel better

I’m okay in what I do but I don’t just want to continue doing that just to earn money if you can understand what I mean

You really don't need a fancy degree or a title to lead. I know people not even from the management background and killing it out there and I also know managers who don't know shit about what they are doing. And honestly it doesn't matter because you are too much in your head. You can still lead ih your current role and if you have potential, you'll get there without a fancy mba. It just will be a little more hard work.

Thank you so much for your words

If you feel like you should be getting into management roles , start by taking action first , take a management course or if you can, give the GMAT or cat , not with the idea of getting into a college , but the process will definitely help you identify if it is really what you want to do or pursue

Thank you,I really liked your advice

Making a switch is the only way forward.. changing tracks within current org is a lot difficult. While changing you can be upfornt about your expectations. It won't be easy because of the 90 days np.. but you gotta take that leap!

Yes you are right

Ignoring everything you said... i like your user name 😅😅

How big of a fan you are of b99
