Trending @Infosys; AST in TCS vs Lead Consultant in Infosys

If 23.50 lacs ctc in tcs as AST is good or 25 lacs ctc in Infosys as a "Lead Consultant" is good?

I am in tcs since last 10 yrs and got offer from infy now. So should i change ? As I heard that Lead Consultant is a great role in infy.

You heard wrong. Lead consultants also work on tickets; it depends on the project. In my SAP ABAP project, my teammates who are lead consultants have 12-14 tickets in their accounts, and most of them are high priority.

Thanks, i heard that Lead Consultant is not working on tickets and they just work like pm or technical architect.. after 10 years in tcs we will still be working on tickets where in infy we would be in good management position, right?

Don't go for Infosys. Atleast if you want job security which is better in TCS. In infy lead consultant can be anything from developer role to BA or tech lead role.

If you are getting 23.5 in TCS and moving for 25, it’s not a decent jump. Apart from that 25L for. 10yr exp is a good number in Infosys. Regarding the work you will do , depends on the project and your job description.

It's not like the lead consultant should not work on tickets, depending on the project you involved in Salary wise 25lpa is little less as they will not give you hike for atleast two years consider this and you make a move accordingly

Yes, indeed...Lead Consultant is a great role in Infosys.. but salary seems to be on lower side. For a Lead Consultant you should atleast have 30 LPA..or much above that..please counter your offer
