AST in TCS vs Lead Consultant in Infosys

If 23.50 lacs ctc in tcs as AST is good or 25 lacs ctc in Infosys as a "Lead Consultant" is good?

I am in tcs since last 10 yrs and got offer from infy now. So should i change ? As I heard that Lead Consultant is a great role in infy.

Lead consultant is JL6 in Infy which is equivalent to PM or associate consultant C3B at TCS. variable salary was good for TCS barring last year while Infy has a history of being conservative 70 percent most of the times.

LCON does opens up onsite if you are interested and are aligned to a right kind of role.

In tcs , Assoc consultant and consultant are purely technical and they work on tickets/incidents but in infy, i heard that Lead Consultant is not working on tickets and they just work like pm or technical architect.. after 10 years in tcs we will still be working on tickets where in infy we would be in good management position, right?

That may not be factually correct. It will depend on the role you are being hired for. But yes generally speaking it should be possible to say that you don't want to work on a ticket and will be given a team of freshers or juniors to supervise if you choose.

Your current CTC in TCS is 23.50? Or TCS is giving that as part of retention?

i would say stay in tcs only if you variable pay is less then infosys (assume 20% on lead consultant) because you will get pay 50% in first 6 months and then after that also 70-80 max as per current trends. Also in tcs you will still be eligible for appraisals in normal cycle but in infy you will not get any hike for 1.5 yrs atleast. Note: I got offer of 31 CTC for lead consultant in infy but i am already getting 28 here so rejected

Do you mean Infy gives only 50% in first 6 months?. Or 50% is guaranteed and on above that we get based on business performance.

i heard that from my friend in infy that for first 6 months as it is probabtion period so they give only 50 percent.

Hey Can you pls tell me , how many days before your last working day, they offered you retention offer, because even I did submit my resignation, my manager sent mail to hr for retention, hr called me and asked for how much I am expecting, but later i am not receiving any call from hr or management. I have left with 30 days of time to complete my notice period

Consider the fact there is no hikes in infy… tcs provide atleast 8 % for A band.. as retention dont take promotion.. if u r C3B next cycle take promotion with will be 20 odd % .. so get retained will be better optin
