Hi Everyone,

I have 5.5years of experience and currently designated with Associate with the latest rating of 4.

I’m trying for Senior Associate level, could you please share your insights on the salary hike that I can expect from my current CTC(7 lpa) ?

15% is the general hike what once gets on promotion. In your case , the salary will be really less post promotion. Would recommend you to take the promotion and make a switch with atleast 50% hike.

@AwesomeSnob2, as I've seen all comments, hope you have already got your answer. Actually, I have one query from you. Currently I'm at Associate designation with 5 EOY (3 yrs in previous company and 2 yrs in Cognizant). So when will I expect to be promoted to SA? Or is it some process to apply like you have mentioned in your post or it happens automatically?

@Potter7 - Reach your reporting manager and set your expectations, I think for SA they look for people to have atleast 6-7years of experience, but you can give a try.

Get an August hike and prepare for the switch, no other way to get a good hike.

I think the yearly hike depends on BU..after your promotion and yearly hike, I guess your CTC will be close to 10lpa.. I would suggest wait till Aug/sep, get both hikes and then switch..bcz the current scenario of cognizant is very down.
