Not sure about AC to SAC but from SE to SSE (system engineer to senior systems engineer) it will take 1 year. And the process will be same

I would be automatic (JL4a to JL4b) and in an year. But you won’t get a hike based on that promotion as your Job level would be 4 only. When it goes to 5 you will have a hike
