Trending @Infosys; Ask for a release from the project

I have been working on an application development project for the last 3.5 years. But I feel like I'm stuck and there are no new things to learn as it is a legacy project. I want a different project related to cloud and data engineering. How do I ask my manager for a release without affecting my ratings? What is the path of getting the project that I want? Please guide me through the process. Thanks

Only affective way is IJP.. if there is dependency on you then no way your manager will release you.. you can ask them directly about release but chances as very less. Best is apply IJP and get selected your current manager cant do anything you will be auto released in 90days

There is no such path except IJP or quitting. Systems are built to make someone’s career based on his interests. This is just a demand supply game. Your current manager has no incentive to let you go!! So you only have to drive that change either through IJp or by quitting.
