India’s home ministry asks several states to conduct mock drills for effective civil defence on 7th May.

This includes -

Operationalisation of Air raid warning sirens.
Training of civilians and students on civil defence.
Provision of crash black out measures.
Updation of evacuation plan and its rehearsal.
Provision of early camouflage of vital plants and installations.

Posturing never leads to war. I think there are doing this to weaken the pak army.
More than war, keeping a state of readiness costs more money and stress. iWT is. A big hit for them. With crop season approaching, changes to water supply will hit them more hard.
