Are there openings for mid-sr management positions in IT BFSI?

I keep hearing that either there is hiring freeze or no vacancies for mid nd senior level positions in BFSI (Product, Banks or Services) The market is dry especially if you're looking for >25 LPA as fixed.

Is this the true market understanding?

What do you guys feel is the reason? Tough future, cost cutting or anything else?
