Are there any NGOs that plant trees?

Over the last couple of weeks, heatwaves have been bringing down hellfire on north india.

Water is 24/7 hot, AC are running continuously (i know not good for environment), going out feels like a punishment.

I know this will not change in one day but every small step matters.

I want to contribute/donate some money to some genuine NGOs that will plant trees and take care of them until the plants become self sufficient. Please share some if came across such NGOs.

P.S. - I would encourage to other folks in doing so as well.

Though good intentions but we need immediate solutions here and now can’t wait for years for trees. People are dying today :(

I don’t think there are any short term reliable solutions to this. We have fucked up the environment enough.

I feel if things are done at larger scale the effects can be seen in one two years.
