Are there any employees with skills in data engineering also getting lay off during this time ?

Layoffs are not based on skills.. if based on MISMANAGEMENT..
Many skilled employees would be collateral damage because
their skillset wasn't properly broadcast
or got a poor band due to politics
or simply because they didn't have good connections outside their unit..
Layoff doesn't always means unskilled ppl are let go..

All employees have skills(technical, functional), it's management responsibility for how those skills are leveraged. AI Training figures posted by TCS are also false. Meaningful continuous learning & training are worth for any organisation TCS leadership is relaxed for years, now they have taken a big step with no anticipation throwing many PPL to dark.

Not everyone working in high demand skills is actually good at it. They may have got a high salary for very less years of experience. They are under scrutiny for low performance.
