Are political discussions even helpful anymore?
Seeing too much polarization and extreme opinions these days. Rarely come across anyone looking at logic and reason, mostly just emotions and religion masquerading as politics.
In India we don't even have political discussions, its mostly hate mongering. Most of these keyboard warriors dont even know what right wing means (BJP is NOT a right wing party), dont know what socialism means or even how economics work for a developing nation.
Interesting, why do you say BJP is not right wing?
Right wing doesn't just means being an asshole, it has economic impacts. For example right wing ideologies doesn't believe in subsidies. All parties in India are socialist (which is extremely left ideology), BJP might be leaning towards the centre the most that too culturally not economically.
Agreed! But I feel since this is an anonymous platform, people are more open on their thoughts and you get to understand much better about the general public's thinking.
Now, you got to know that people are thinking about religion and caste through these debates only, right?😉
