Do companies verify existing offer letters from other companies?

They try to verify after or just before the other person has joined. Big companies are every serious about this

In the contrary, Big companies actually do not care for other offer. 🙂 They may just ask verbally, if you have another offer or not, and may at best the company name and the total CTC they are offering.
