Are most relationships after a certain age (say 24-25) transactional in nature ?

I feel except for close family and friends, people are only willing to engage if they feel they'll have any personal benefit.

Even when it comes to helping each other this is evident lot of times

Nowadays all relationships are transactional. Be it even your spouse. It may sound weird but it’s true.
