On the contrary, management jobs are more prone to be laid off. Management jobs are more of soft skills, which can be acquired while tech skills are hard skills and not that easy to acquire. On top of it, it’s very difficult for managers to find jobs compared to tech jobs.

Management roles are also impacted same way as technical roles however due to different life stage and experience levels of managers, the impact of layoff to their career, family, savings is tremendous.. secondly, it is not easy for them to find jobs while technical people can relatively find jobs - relatively.... voluntary or direct, layoff is a life reset event
