Many Indian managers come from engineering backgrounds, but their technical understanding is often no better than that of a fresh graduate. Despite this, they’re expected to present an image of being in control—even when they don’t fully grasp how things actually work. In such situations, the easiest way for them to feel powerful or ensure work gets done is by resorting to micromanagement, or by using fear tactics like the threat of PIP, layoffs, or poor performance ratings.
Do you also think there are other reasons for workplace to be toxic?

- Aspiration / Growth mindset no matter the cost what others has to pay for it.
- Please there bosses by saying Yes to every thing
- Try to create dependency so that can’t be fired easily.

Not all indian managers, my manager is Indian, but he is a very chill guy infact all my teammates admires him, whereas on the other hand one of my friends has the worst manger n he is also indian, so it depends but lost indian managers are toxic
Agree. I have had amazing Indian managers.
Why do you think some india managers are toxic?

I always think of a line which said by Steve Jobs, a good manager is a great technical person and never wanted to be manager but becomes manager as nobody else can do that job better than him. So always follow a person who is mabager but never wanted to be one. You know him/her by interacting them on technical stuff, if they so enthu he/she is the one.
Wow. Amazing perspective

Yes ofcourse blame game , favouritism 😁😁🤣
Most of them are certified bk#
