Are government jobs real gold?
considering the situation feels like IT jobs are temporary.you will get released if project over or client don't pay or cost cutting.then you will be on bench if there are projects then you will just work there to get released some day else they will ask to resign.go to new company and cycle goes on.....
but in government it's permanent.most lucrative thing is job security and pension what you guys think

No. My father and uncles are all govt employees. The only benefit of govt job is you don’t have to worry about lay-offs. But you would have to deal with superiors who would hate you for absolutely no reason at all based on your caste/state you belong to/dialect etc etc. If you don’t obey Mantris and seniors, you might get suspended for indefinite period and you won’t receive any salary. Then you would have to bribe and do all kind of “Chaplusi” to be able to join back. It’s always better to skill up and switch jobs in IT industry than do be a govt employee. We also get good salary compared to them. Obviously there is no limit if you are a corrupt govt employee. But then you can also get caught or seniors might frame you for all the mistakes they did and you might be in jail. Why would you want that? I am from jharkhand. Pooja Singhal , an IAS officer , secured 26th rank and was a topper during training days. She has always been a topper since school days, very bright student. Where is she now? In jail 🤣🤣. There are many more examples. In private, if you don’t like something you can always change your job. You are at a better place.

Even the worst of government job is better than the best of private job

Except for the general category, yes.
