Trending @Infosys; Appraisal is kind of a joke 🤔🤔 in Infosys

Despite leading and delivering critical projects and getting outstanding ratings for two years continuously, I did not get even 1 Rupee increment or promotion.

I have fought for a hike for the last two cycles. Nothing worked. Now, when I plan to leave the company, they come with an on-site opportunity with basic pay that only supports sustaining in that country. Again, peanut 🄜 business comes into the picture.

Don’t believe in your manager's promise or company promise on hikes or appraisal. They are just playing dirty business on corporate slavery.

Do prepare for an interview and move on.

They came up with some Cranky and stupid criteria as of October 31 2021 working JL4 employees are only eligible for hike. Any one who joined infosys after that cut off period are not considered for hike.
They did not even considered appraisal rating or feed back based on my deliverables and performance.

Also, PLI is a scam
Whatever is state of company's quarterly result. We never get 100 though have outstanding, few percent is always eaten up. You will see news like infy is giving xyz percent bonus but never heard that founder got less dividend compared to previous year.

At the end of year we hope that that few percent eaten up from PLI must be returned in next year's appraisal.

Any one know is it same in other service based companies like TCS, cg, or congnizent??

Performance linked incentive is not just your performance. It’s company , unit and your performance all three elements in it. If variable pay has to be given come what May , then why we call it variable. Though I understand your pain but that’s the reality. I have worked in organizations where variable pay is 0 or 100% . So I feel this atleast is better . Never calculated variable pay in my CTC only worked on fixed pay while considering the offer. So am never disappointed šŸ˜‚

Yes that is the reality. Laterals were recruited at very high hikes during COVID from 30% to 100%. It created a big disparity between existing employees and laterals doing the same work at same level. . I believe that’s where this policy came in in order not punish long timer because of the lateral whose high salaries had pushed margins down. It will seem fair to long timers and unfair to recent joiners. But that is business reality. Personally I feel it’s a wrong business decision as laterals will have lot less loyalty to the company and they will just fly away. You can’t tell them because we took you at more hike than you deserve we won’t give you any hike for next 3 years!!!

Then they should make this point clear while announcing financial results when they comment on hikes.

Current CEO made comments in last 2 quarterly result last year, as they’re considering hike for all employees.

For reference you can check those release recordings.

Outside’s can see there have given double digit hikes for all employees.

But in reality only 30 to 40% of current employees benefit from hike.

There no transparency at from CEO level to Manager levels.

You missed the fine line. They are ā€œconsideringā€. They considered and decided not to give hike to laterals. Though in some units some exceptions were made to that criteria based on overall experience and rating.

ZippyCupcake

How can you handle work load if you put fake project experience?

Never do that for hike sake. Your job will be in trouble.

So, what's your plan? Are you asking for more on-site pay and staying in Infosys or switching?

Better navigate your next. In the world all companies gives regular hike except Infosys. They expect from Engineers to give free service for decades without hike. In my life never seen such company. Don't join such companies in future.
