Trending @Infosys; Applying half day

If I take half day leave and do wfh for half day. In such scenario can i only apply half day and leave other half blank?

Someone posted similar query few days back and mentioned he has not received any missing attendance email for not applying wfh for another half. Anyone have idea as this will save on wfh balance
