Trending @HCL; Applying for Internal Job Postings with New Skills and Prior Experience in a Different Track

Can we apply for an Internal Job Posting in HCL without relevant experience if we have learned the required skill and have worked on a different track in the past?

I worked on different track and currently I want to move into Linux Administration role internally.

Yes , you can but they will drill on these new skills as they do for any new hire... Don't think prior working at HCL will have any +ve impact on hiring for new skills role

When I see the job descriptions in IJP posts, they mention experience. Does this refer to relevant experience for the specific role or overall experience ?
