Applying for a job to client company

I am currently working with XYZ client at TCS, and I have come across a vacancy with the same job description and skill set at their company. I would like to inquire if it is possible to apply directly to the client company for this position?

Check with the client company if there is a cooling period after you leave your existing company and join the same client directly. Some companies have a cooling period of 6-12 months as far as I know
