Apply leave on holiday.

I have taken a single holiday in my project means on 11th April it was an Id holiday showing in the holiday list but my TL asked me to apply for leave on that day? What should I say to him?

Tell him that on 11th it was a location holiday for you and no need to apply leave!

If it is a branch holiday you need not to apply any leave.
