Apparently, kids solve everything?

One of cousin (F) got married late (at 36yrs), she married someone outside caste. They said she found him on matrimony site, but speculations say she dragged herself till out of age so she could be married to him. Anyway we aren't here to gossip. The elders of family were not happy with this "love like" marriage (not allowed in our family), but old age daughter is better married.

She is now pregnant with her first child, and weirdly everyone in family is rejoicing?!! What kind of hypocrisy is that?

P.S. The kid/kiddi would be the first grandchild in their family

It's more of acceptance than hypocrisy imo.
As people age, their rigidity across beliefs, values etc deteriorate. Getting kid kinda moves the focus from your marriage to raising a kid
