App for automatically tracking spendings
Is there any app that can automatically track all my spendings and create reports and categories like food 5k, utilities 10k, shopping 3k etc?
If yes, please let me know in comments. Also, do mention if there is any feature that is missing and you would like - coz I am also considering of developing if myself

Its better to get a money manger app and put your expenses manually because u can’t carry dairy everywhere .
No, it’s not risky. The app will not read all the emails or SMS. OTP comes from a different email/number and debit message comes from a different email/number.
Only transaction related emails/sms will be read, not all SMS/email.
Giving our financial data to some unknown app itself is a risky idea.
Axio does it very effectively as long as you get the text message of transactions. I have been using it for couple of months now.

An update: I have created a web app successfully and actively using it. Some features:
- Automatic detection via email tracking (only transaction email, nothing else)
- Only amount and merchant extraction - everything else is discarded.
- Creates automatic categories. Users can create their own categories.
- Filter categories to see all transactions of that category
- Request historical months scan to enable insights
- Create budgets

Or if you can upload your bank statements, credir card statements onto Claude pro or any AI model and create a project. It’s a bit manual unless you can create a working demo with guardrails and a front / back end with a secure storage.
I have done decently well analysis where Claude sonnet 4.5 / GPT 5.1 was able to dissect and analyze spends across categories sub categories and then also recommend reductions , or which credit cards etc
