What's the company, if it's Mama Earth, you're paying them with your sanity. Otherwise it's ok. Fixed is super low, 5-6 toh hona chahiye. A lot of my ex team mates 1-3 YOE started lower but got past 10 soon. Try and negotiate more fixed.

They can mess with the variable as per desired performance metrics to deny paying it. Better to negotiate for a higher fixed component.
Is variable based on your performance or companies performance or both? Anyways variable is high, aim for 15 - 20% of your CTC for variable component.

Which function in marketing? For marketing, variable is too high. Generally this kind is seen for sale roles where there is extreme direct impact. If they want to keep this as the total then ask them to make it 6+1.5L. Also as a starting salary this is good but ensure your company has a high growth potential in this market so that in next appraisal you can easily jump to 10 or close to that.
