I've worked in the animation industry and I can tell you for a fact that no one wants to see quality output that can compete with Ghibli.

No one willing to fund it, not enough of an audience that wants it.

We will keep seeing mediocre work like Chhota Bheem because it makes enough money to keep things rolling.

Exactly my thoughts. There no proper games which came out of India yet. Tired of bullshit ludo games

Went to the ghibli museum in Tokyo last year, nothing can come close the amount of efforts miyazaki and his team puts in every frame. And people in india think animation movies and even anime is for kids. So people dont invest

Top animation talent in India is creating work for international productions.

Them you have companies like GreenGold who make shows like ChottaBheem. There are smaller studios who work on ads and short films.

Pay is not great in India. There is talent but very little focus on storytelling.
