If you are on bench for more than 8 weeks, an SME is going to evaluate you on your primary skill. If found fit, you are allowed to continue on bench else they put you in CIP
I am not sure but it happened in our project. The client was not happy with our code. So to support our code, to support our developers, our project people, maybe some senior people, I don't know, I'm not sure, maybe the delivery manager or senior managers, they brought in an SME who would independently check our code and give us inputs on how good our code is or what mistakes we have made and what improvements we can make. So they evaluate our code and they just tell us what changes to make or what updates to make to make our code better. And they are like sometimes independent of Accenture and Client. Not sure, but this is what I know.
