Anyone got retained after resignation? Did tcs match offered ctc amount?

Yes, I accepted retention during the COVID phase. I agreed to retention because, during that time, TCS was still allowing work from home (WFH), and many other organizations were laying off employees. However, I don't believe that staying at TCS will be beneficial for the long run due to the low salary hikes every year and the strict work from office (WFO) policy, which is linked to variable pay and promotions.

It's not retention It's about increasing your fixed component by x%. At the end of the day, that's going to be your take home pay. To be wiser, it's best to bump up your fixed component and not your CTC. Most MNC will play tricks with CTC that includes ur variable. I got two offers
One gives 80% fixed bump - total CTC is 29 L Another gives 70% fixed bump - total CTC is 28L Overall ctc has a lac difference, but its due to variable

Yep, but have you accepted retention offer with increased pay?

No I have not accepted it. Five times, they discussed
Yet I nodded no. That's the amount of frustration I have towards TCS. When they don't care about employees, why should we care about them, anyway we are replaceable in every way by another resource. Even the client manager spoke to me as well, why are you leaving? But it's a vendor client's privilege, couldn't vent it out. I had to lie, saying moving for better opportunity and more aligned to my role

When you got retained? Did you see any difference in basic salary, increased in retention amount or increase in variable component?

I heard from my teamate that they went for 150% to retain but that person got much better offer. So he didnt take it. But he said that he was suprised that TCS even went that far

It's not about percentage now a days. It's about max amount tcs can offer for that particular role.

Yes they retained me with more than 100 % hike during covid phase. I also accepted the offer. Then I went on maternity leave, so I feel safe that I retained here in TCS. May be if this was happened in other companies , the probability of layoff might be more.
