How serious is the illegal immigrants situation there, in border areas? Are demographic changes real?
My close friend lives in Malda, which is a border region. He informed me that you can literally give 500/- to someone to take you to bangladesh, buy fish from their market and come back.
Another incident, he recollects that a corner shop in his locality is run by a guy from bangladesh. He might be hindu but albeit he is an illegal immigrant.
There’s rampant illegal immigration happening, which is quite concerning!
I’ll give you another incident from my own life. I used to live in Saket and the guy running the chicken shop at the market was a bangladeshi fellow!!

I wonder what central government is doing from last 12-13 years with all the Forces at its disposal and all the money in hand.. to stop this permanently.. why can't they do it.. any insight on this is appreciated.
