Trending @Wipro; Any Wipro Policy not to take leaves on Mondays or Fridays ?

In my project they are asking to not to take leaves on Mondays and Fridays, I’m ok with unplanned leave not to take, but they are asking me to not to take planned leaves also although we have backup resource nor not much work in project on those days. It’s ok if we have major work/release to be available.

Also they will check all weekends availability irrespective of any work. In Wipro their is no much leaves carry forward. We have to plan our leaves whenever we required not when lead allowed to give. In my past organisations I never ever told the reason for the planned leaves (1 or 2 days). But here I used to give justification for even single day of leave in a month. (Even requested 1 month before).

I don’t know how to handle this type of behaviour this is new to me, I never faced such type of behaviour in my past 8 years of experience.

If resources are working hard, we have to give some kindness to employees to take leave when required.

No such Wipro policy. It's project/manager specific.

In Wipro, every Managers are following their own policy, not Wipro policy.

I just want to share something about this situation. We often wonder why Wipro acts this way, but we need to consider the clients—they play a major role in this scenario. Wipro, like many service-based companies, their priority is revenue over employee well-being. If you haven't faced these kinds of issues, then you're lucky
