Any problem for C3B Project Manager if experience cross 22 years and don't want to be C4 ?

I am C3B with 22 yrs experience (5 yrs in TCS) and working in Customer Project Manager role (Stuff Aug/TNM role). I don’t want C4 because there is more cut in variable pay for C4 and less salary increase in promotion. Also C4 takes more time to get project from bench because no one prefer to on-board C4 as that band is higher cost to project. Moreover, I am happy with my current role because this is Stuff Aug/TNM role (Customer’s Project Manager) where interaction with TCS leaders is very less (TCS leaders are more terrible and damaging at work/career than customer). So, Is there any problem if I stay in C3B for long because my experience is more than 22 years and role is Project Manager ?

No problem. You don't need to worry as TCS will not initiate promotion even if you ask for it

Your assessment is entirely accurate. All of your points are valid and true. As a lateral hire with only five years of tenure , it is important to be mindful of potential challenges from longer tenured colleagues specially here. Everything you mentioned is spot on. It's a tough situation with older folks around who are not so welcoming. There will be daily friction and they might try to undermine or sabotage your work. Bureaucracy and politics create addtional challenges, including difficulties in getting new projects, securing billing, a decrease in QVA, increase in mandatory interactions with senior leadership, unnecessary pressure, and a toxic work environment marked by rude behavior.

No problem , you can continue your way. TCS bosses will not disturb your equilibrium.

Your monthly take home will increase but so does visibility to senior leadership who are mostly revenue driven and no focus on technology, customer or employee well being. Plus at that level logical reasoning goes for a toss and you can never be right in front of your boss.

Also your earned leaves are lapsed and not encashed. Might not be a lot of money but still.
