Trending @HCL; Any idea about Nps employer contribution when it will be credited.. they deducted approx 20k from my salary but not reflecting in nps yet

To really get the best out of NPS, understand the two main layers: Who manages your money and Where they invest it.

The Pension Fund Managers (PFMs) There are currently about 10-11 fund managers you can choose from . These include big names like: HDFC Pension Fund ICICI Prudential SBI Pension Fund LIC Pension Fund Kotak, Axis, Tata, etc. Note: You can switch your manager once a year if you aren't happy with their performance.

The Asset Classes (The 4 Categories) Once you pick a manager, you decide where the money actually goes. There are 4 specific 'Schemes' or categories: Class E (Equity): Invests in the stock market (High risk, high return). Max cap is usually 75%. Class C (Corporate Bonds): Invests in fixed income instruments issued by private companies (Moderate risk). Class G (Government Bonds): Invests in Govt securities (Low risk, secure returns). Class A (Alternative Assets): Invests in REITs/InvITs (Very niche, max cap 5%).
How you choose (Auto vs. Active): Auto Choice (Default): The system decides the split between E, C, and G based on your age (reducing risk as you get older).
Active Choice: You manually decide the percentage (e.g., 'I want 60% in Equity, 20% in Corporate, 20% in Govt').

Thanks
