Sometimes I don't work the entire day. And start working after office hours like weekend, just to show others that am a hard worker with lot of work dumped on me
I create issues where none exist because my manager usually knows nothing about the work. All he does all day is attend meetings and sent approval mails.
So most cases that can be solved in a day, I wait for things to blow up and then when it comes to me I step in and solve it.
If am sure that case won't land on me, I don't even highlight the potential problem, I usually say " it's agreat initiative/idea" and move on
