Stay away from cheap / kanjoos friends. There are many guys out there who have lots of money but always wanta everything for free. I had a friend in college. His dad was a establishes businessman. During 3 years of college he did not even buy a chocolate for anyone.never gave party of birthdays and new bikes. But would always come with us for snacks, parties. I bared all of his expenses as I considered him my best friend. But later I realised whenever I needed him he never helped. In third year I had an accident and my bike was at the garage. I asked for his bike and he bluntly refused. All these days he used my bike, would go everywhere with me on my bike but couldn't give me his bike for one instance. And from that moment I decided to keep such people away.

Totally, stay away from untrustworthy people in general. Keep filtering until you find friends who don't take advantage of you

Either use credit card with mindset of as debit card else block it. Before even spending, invest it. Then keep remaining for household or personal use

Major expenses are House rent if you are bachelor and staying in different city try to reduce it as much as possible staying with 2 to 3 good friends.

  1. Try to reduce Eating outside food or partying
  2. Commuting to the office use own 2 wheeler or use public transport or office cab instead of rapido and all
  3. Use minimalist approach in spending money on your needs so buy if necessary don't buy for someone's opinions
  4. Don't simply try to invest in MF's, some stable stocks, ETF, physical gold or silver before investing get a health insurance for family and term insurance for you
  5. And as many people said track the money in a book or somewhere that will help a lot.
  6. I do spend much but I can say what I bought and where it is used so I don't get regreted be like that... Then Once in a while if you spend on some unwanted things also you will not do the same mistake.
