Any Advices please

Hi everyone, I’ve been working as a Database Developer for almost 2 years, mainly with PostgreSQL. Lately I’ve become interested in cybersecurity, but I don’t have much idea where to start.

Questions I’m struggling with:

Would it be a smart career switch at this point, or should I stay on the database path and grow into trending areas like:

Databricks Snowflake

What exactly does cybersecurity involve (real day-to-day work)?

Where do I start learning (resources, entry paths, beginner roadmap)?

What opportunities are there for someone shifting from DB to cybersecurity?

My priorities: ✔ A path that isn’t too risky for a mid-junior professional

Has anyone made a similar switch or evaluated both paths? Any advice on which direction might be more rewarding career-wise + salary-wise over the next few years and how to get started?

Thanks! 🔍💡
