Trending @Wipro; Anxious about hikes because of marriage
I’m not the kind of guy to obsess about hikes because I know end of the day companies will screw you over. But now that I’m going to talk to potential families for marriage, I am realizing that my salary is not the most attractive part about me, not that looks are overcompensating for it either. At least want a hike that I finally get into double digits 🥲.
Am I overthinking? Anybody else in my shoes?
Understand that it might take some time to find a match at your current scenario but eventually you will find a family and partner that won't just look at your pay package but will choose you for who you are as a person. This way you will have a life partner who would have chosen you at your low and probably be a support for you in your journey of progress. So believe in the fact that your salary doesn't define you, and it is better to get rejected from those who think otherwise instead of regretting later. Be patient and focus on your career. Marriage will happen when it's meant to happen.
I was going to suggest the same. Marry someone who is comfortable with your package else you may always be under pressure to increase your package
