Anoyed hearing double click and insane corporate jargon.
So I recently joined my org, I read about its corporate culture but I didnt expect it to be this annoying. On my Day 1 itself I was anoyed to hear this non stop buzzword culture. It was overwhelming. My manager starts speaking in morning standups then talk for hours in office and again talk after going home plus they also send jargon on slack on weekends. They dont even have normal english words to use thats how bad it is Although I am still learning as a new joinee but If I ask a simple doubt they are like lets double click on that for alignment and they also feel like I should be speaking like them. Meetings are insane and theres so much pressure to find our north star. In my last company I had pretty normal conversations and this is a complete shift and its getting hard for me to cope up. Yesterday on Friday I realised the worst part is its so normalised and everyone here literally have no problem talking this much nonsense.

In all my years in tech, no phrase has frustrated me more than the sudden corporate misuse of "double-clicking." It is an unbearable piece of jargon that I refuse to ever utter, and I would love to stop my coworkers from using it around me.
