I can't remember all the names, but one, I definitely do - Zorro. Was a part of one of their first users, later, they called themselves "Hood". Appeared on Shark Tak S2, and are still creating noise. But well, the user engagements are poor and the PlayStore rating is pathetic.
GV on the other end is silent, but is killing it in the engagement space. What are they doing right? And what did Hood do wrong?

I don't think GV is killing it. Engagement is still poor hardly 2,3k people are using this app on a daily basis.

Isn't that how things start, I might be wrong, but I want to hear more, what should have been their ideal DAU?

I joined grapevine 6,7 months ago i guess and i was hardly using it. I have been active for the past 7 days and i see very poor engagement hardly any post will get more than 30 likes. Check the views count across posts, the average is going to be around 2.5k at max.
I don't know what metrics they have set for themselves but I don't think they are killing it. I think most people come here when they are in need of an answer, once they get it then they hardly open it again. They need to add a lot of fun elements, this much sophistication is not going to work imo, i may be completely wrong.

The killer features for grapevine will be having founder or Vcs for AMA It generates a lot of engag
