The LBA in my team is so controlling. He makes me do all the work but every tiny detail has to be reviewed by him. I respect that he wants things to be perfect but I have no freedom in doing the work the way I want to do, even though the result is going to be the same. If he gives some work he's constantly checking on the status. There's so much micromanagement. Also, every client meeting he presents all the work I've done but if it's an internal meeting he asks me to present. He gets angry for tiny things like if I join a meeting 5 mins late or if I want to log out early if there's no work left for the day. Once he got annoyed when I told him I'd rejoin the meeting since my screen got stuck and I overheard him saying I'm an idiot (he probably thought I'd left the meeting) He's so unpredictable. I'm trying to be patient and understanding but I can't handle disrespect. He sometimes talks very rudely and types texts in CAPS. What to do? Do I confront him about his attitude?

Confront him directly. Be firm and professional. If he doesn't change, escalate to HR. You deserve respect and autonomy. Don't let his toxic behavior ruin your work life.
