Analytics' Pay in Banks

How's the pay for analysts in banks like Citi, HSBC, IDFC etc?

My "assumption" is they have a better work life balance compared to start-ups (I work in one - CTC being 28lpa - almost 4 YOE).

Why am I asking? Looking at how things are going on at BLR, I'm planning to someday switch to company with work from home and better work life balance.

So business analyst and data analysts are paid this much as well?? Guess I was wrong being skeptical about the data analysts career progression 🙂

Can you suggest how to get these US based companies?

Honestly speaking, I don't think it's deserved given the amount of shitty tasks we do (that take a good proportion of our badwidth). Startup salaries are in general inflated.

I'm myself looking into how I can get into these non-startup companies specifically fpr the work life balance it offers.

Oh. But in the end the amount that gets credited at the end of the month is what matters no? Along with WLB for sure, and learning curve would be good as well I assume ?

I work for an US based edtech. 6 years of experience but similar pay which you mentioned. I’m looking out for a change but no company is ready to pay more than my current CTC. Tough market

How do I get a chill job in India?

Tired of working disgustingly pressurising deadlines and work that's never ending. Any idea where the work life is better than tech startups?

Just get a product management job. You can simply mooch on after that. Not just chill
