When can we expect analyst role after systems engineer?
As per current situation in tcs with huge promotion backlog and a complete halt in the promotion rollouts for more than a year expect it After 5 to 6 years if you joined in tcs otherwise minimum 4-5 years if you are lateral joinee. So better is to upskill and look for better opportunities rather than just waiting for promotion here and getting useless here.
Ngl I agree with the previous person's comment. Situation here is messed up. There is a huge pending backlog of promotions.
There will be alot of politics and rush to push those people favor to get the promotion once it starts. They wont allow 10 people in the same project to get promotion immediately (FYI you will be surprised there are projects with alot of System Engineers all eligible for promotion at the moment but on hold).
Upskill and Jump or start applying for new opportunities otherwise you will be delayed on the whole corporate system. Only when you take action the reward follows and in rare case they do push and retain you if your important to the project.
If should be at 4 years but I am still waiting since last year. There is a lot of backlog as per manager
