Anakin (YC21) - Hiring for Director - Pay compensation?

Got a call from Anakin recruiter, said we have no high bracket but we can only give whatever you are currently earning a 15-20% hike on that 😂

It’s funny to see, how few companies in India still believes a job compensation should be based on what your last drawn salary was and not on what you are actually going to deploy for them. Maybe that’s why they have 3.3 glassdoor rating.

Sad reality but this is one of the main reasons behind toxic work environment.
