In Dec month itself Amazon laid off around 70K people world wide They have this tool OLD fart which show Amazon population world wide I start tracking the number from 1st Dec 2022 and by end of month results were scary On 28th Nov 2022 population was:- 1567189 On 2nd Jan 2023 population was: - 1498195 Almost already 70K people in months just before mass layoff on 18th Jan. They are smart and figured this out someone can track the record like this so on 4th Jan 2023 they have disabled the tool only loader is showing.😔😔
Right now I am safe but doesn’t know how long and I am really feeling bad for the laidoff employees.
This make me realized no company is trustworthy.
That worldwide number includes warehouse workers, where attrition itself is quite high as well as Amazon cutting their roles off. It got nothing to do with corporate employees where about 4-5k are impacted till now (as per estimated calculations and guesses)
