Amazon (SDE-1) vs Expedia (SDE-2) vs Goldman Sachs (Analyst) Offer Comparison – Need Advice
Hi everyone,
I’ve received offers from Amazon, Expedia, and Goldman Sachs, and I’d really appreciate the community’s input on which one to choose based on total compensation, growth, and brand value.
My Background:
Experience: 1 year, 10 months
Offer Details:
🔹 Amazon (SDE-1) – Bangalore Base: ₹19.17 LPA
Sign-on Bonus Year 1: ₹6.47 L
RSUs (4 Years): ₹15.56 L (5% vesting in 1st year = ₹77.8K) Relocation: ₹1.5 L
First-Year Total: ₹27.91 LPA
🔹 Expedia Group (SDE-2) – Gurgaon (Hybrid) Base: ₹25 LPA
Sign-on Bonus: ₹2 L
Stocks: ₹9 L (25% vesting yearly)
Other Benefits: ₹2 L
First-Year Total: ₹31.25 LPA
🔹 Goldman Sachs (Analyst = SDE-1) – Bangalore Base: ₹24 LPA
Performance Bonus: ~₹4.5 L
Relocation: ₹1.5 L
First-Year Total: ₹30 LPA
What I’m Looking For:
Good work-life balance Decent compensation Growth opportunities (tech-focused) Long-term brand value I tried negotiating with Amazon and Goldman, but they are fixed. Expedia offered the SDE-2 role with higher comp.
Any advice from folks who’ve worked at these companies or been in a similar situation would be super helpful!
