Hi ! I am writing this post for Engineer Managers @Amazon but anyone willing to reply is welcome.
I had recently given interviews for SDE1 FTC @Amazon. I have gotten the feedback as positive and ready to move forward. Unfortunately, the recruiter said the positions are filled for now and I'm stuck waiting for the offer letter. They are collecting the documents and said whenever the position is open again, I will be allocated to that position.
But I see openinga for SDE1 everyday on their career site.
Are you an EM @Amazon ? Could you help me match with your team for this role. Also, I'm curious if FTCs are filled, Can I not join FTE as SDE1 ?

Internal pool is the only way available for you. Someone will pick up your profile & Recruiter might contact in 1 week, 1 month, 6 or 12 but all this for FTE roles only. FTC is only business specific, no FTC cannot be converted into FTE during hire.
