Amazon doesn't allow defective product returns anymore. Has it changed your usage?

Now we gotta contact the manufacturer for returns and replacement which is a big hassle.

Recently ordered an electronic device on emi which is defective, no options to get returns or replacement on Amazon. More headache than convenience.

I've started purchasing more offline because of this. Are you?

What sucks is i went for a different brand instead of the one i was going for simply because Amazon review rating was slightly higher

1k wasted most likely, definitely avoiding Amazon as much as possible from now on

On the flip side a lot of people were abusing amazons liberal return/replacement possibility. So the had to clamp down on the abuse/pass the liability on to someone else.

True, that's fair. But they built so many systems in place to fix that and reduce returns. Disappointing that they couldn't figure it out in the end

Have been a victim of it. Luckily it was a small value item. Since then, frequency of buying online has reduced. While ordering, I take into consideration, the chances of defective item.

I found some option in report problem with delivery to Amazon section to get a refund, thankfully got it done. Explore the options on desktop login maybe it helps.

Replace twice - third time you get return option.

( know this because I got faulty product twice )

There is no option to do it through Amazon. It leads to manufacturer website and number.

I've also noticed this. Majority of the products have only 'replacement' option now. I'm hardly seeing 'return' option at all
