Am soo worried about placements
High cgpa , ppl who are more talented than me, more projects, more number of leetcodes are themselves struggling to get summer internships at vit.
My cgpa is low and yeah others aspects are also bad. I was some time working on app dev, web front end. Tried to build ai automations using n8n and quickly realised no code tools are worst thing ever.
I realised that the one thing I wanted to do since teenage was to become very talented and knowledgeable in cs tech.
Right now I am learning dsa in python. Trying build a low level stuff on C/C++. And then grind in AI by implementing research papers and getting atleast one good project ready in AI.
Am I going in the right direction?? I really want to crack this.
On campus purely depends on dsa prep. And in vit I've heard high cgpa ppl are preferred. Still you'll get placed somewhere if you do decent dsa and have decent projects. Don't do too many things, just priorities dsa and 1-2 good projects. Did you do summer internship?
I did an unpaid internship in the last summer, but getting a paid internship for summer 2026 is crucial for a pre final year student.
Calm down. All of these are only indicators for interviewers, some don't even care to check. Focus on your performance in the selection process. That should be good enough.
